How was my week?

This week was so crazy and so stressful! I had a final to take almost every day! The only day I didn't have one was on Friday. This was my pile of books from the library.

I also spent most of the week doing white glove checks for the dorms. Today we finished checking out all of the girls from their rooms and did our final walk through. I collected most of the cleaning supplies they left, I got an ironing board, and iron, and a duster! All of it for FREE!!!
But I am SO glad it's over! I am sooo tired! So is Tyler. He started working at D.I. this week, full time. He is doing physical work all day long. Moving furniture and stuff. He comes home exhausted! :) But we are so blessed to have gotten this job. I will be starting up with D.I. soon too! So we will both be working full time. Yay! :D

4th of July Weekend...Finally posted haha

We went home for the weekend. The family had planned a picnic for the celebration of my mother-in-law's birthday. Sooo I made a pie! I wish I would have taken a picture of it sliced. It had red, white and blue stripes of jello and whipped cream. It was really really good! We left at 5am or so to get there soon enough to prepare for the picnic.

The newest babies! Emma and Riley
The picnic was a blast. It is was like a family reunion! haha! Lots of food and family and friends.

Kierra was super excited to see Tyler! High five! :)

There was a fun fountain for the kids to play in too!...okay, we played in it too. ;)

Tyler with Emma

Ethan loooved his water gun.

Ethan getting Mandy :D

Kierra got Tyler good!

We had a family barbecue and Tyler's sister, Brittany, and I worked really hard on these cake ball pops. We had such a hard time keeping the chocolate the right consistency. But they tasted great....oh! and btw, we stuck them in the foam we used from my mother-in-law's fake plant haha!
Then on 4th of July morning we went to a ward breakfast! It was really good! I loved it! There were lots of people that came.

After we all took our showers and were ready, we went to the Middleton parade. We had lots of fun there. The kids loved getting the candy of course. Tyler got to go to the "wet zone" where the firefighters take their hose and spray everybody. After the parade, we went and got free snow cones. I think I ended up having, like, 3! Ha! I love snow cones!

Then in the evening we went to the Melba fireworks show. I was able to briefly see my family, and then the show started. The fireworks were so beautiful. I loved getting to spend it with my hubby. :) The traffic was awful getting out of there though. It took us about an hour and a half to get out of little old Melba.

This one's my favorite firework picture. :)

It was a super fun trip. It was the first time I got to meet Tyler's older sister, Brittany and her husband and kids. We had lots of fun bonding and I loooved getting to spend time with their kids!! :D

Was it Worth it?

Tyler and I went to flag at the dirt bike track on Saturday for some extra money for about...ohhhh...9 HOURS! I don't know if it was worth it or not. We are finally starting to peel.

My legs

Tyler's arm...mine looks the same. haha
I don't think the pictures do it justice...but I am thinking we are going to invest in some sunscreen!

There's a First for Everything!

Tyler let me attempt to cut his hair. I asked him for his numbers for the razor. . . it cut shorter than he thought. So it's not his style . . .  not the one he's used to...but for a short summer cut, I think I did a pretty good job! What do you think?!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Friday Tyler and I went on a Wagon Ride. It was DANG cold, but it was a lot of fun.

We had the opportunity to go home for the weekend. We got to see lots of family. We saw my dad and stepmom one day.
My stepmom, Terry and I
My niece was there which just put the cherry on top of everything. I love that girl so much!
My niece, Raimey, and I
Hanna getting her diploma! Congrats!
Then we got to go to Tyler's cousin's graduation!

We stayed with my mother-in-law and on Sunday after church we went around to all of the cemeteries that Tyler's family had been. I have never been able to do that, so that was really cool for me. Then on Monday morning my father-in-law took Tyler and I to breakfast and we visited. Another plus was that I ran into on of my former Young Women Leaders, Wendy! That was a great surprise. We had a good drive home and to top it all off we got to see a rainbow!!

This week has been a beautiful week in Rexburg! What do we do when we get a chance of good weather?? THIS!---------------------------->

Oh yeah! Bring on the summer! PALEEZE!!!!!

Adventures in Narnia

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day here in Rexburg! After a REALLY nasty day of weather yesterday, I am very grateful. Tyler got off work a little early today, and I was done with classes earlier than normal cause my English class is cancelled til next Wednesday. So after printing off my English paper and running to the ATM, we decided to go walk around at the Gardens. They are putting some new things in that weren't there last year and it is looking really nice. I ran into one of my old friends while taking pictures too! (There are pictures of really cool rocks!) Anyway, after checking out the new stuff, we went over to the part where there is a waterfall and a pond. There was a lone mallard duck there just chillin. We thought he was so cool. I started making duck noises at him (kinda like spitting with your hand in a fist over your mouth..and without the spit part). Tyler decided he'd try! He caught on really fast, and found his inner duck. :) He would go around to different sides of the pond and make the sounds and the duck would follow the sound and quack back at Tyler. It was SO funny! So I, of course, had to take some pictures...until Tyler's mouth got tired. :) It's hard work quacking like a duck! Anyway, it was nice to be able to relax and do that together. I think we will do it more often, if the weather permits. :) Have a wonderful day and I hope you all have a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend! Love you all!
Lacie,
